When record companies re-release their artist's albums it often signals a new phase in their career. We can only wait and see what the future will reveal for Matt Redman. In the meantime we are offered the opportunity with this double CD, to add 'The Father's Song (2000) and 'Where Angels Fear to Tread (2002) to our music collections. Matt has been a central figure in the development of British worship from his early teenage years working with Mike Pilavachi, the founder of the Soul Survivor youth festival. Matt is unashamedly an "unquenchable worshipper" and this has been recognised by many of Christendom's top names who have covered Redman songs. 'The Father's Song' album has guest appearances from the London Community Gospel Choir on "You Led Me To The Cross", and Sonicflood on a favourite of mine, "Holy Moment". I also love "Let My Words Be Few" as it never fails to lift my heart in worship. I think the more rootsy 'Where Angels Fear To Tread' just pips it if I have to choose a preference between the two CDs. Kicking off with the catchy "Amazing" and boasting the GMR award-winning "Blessed Be Your Name" co-penned with wife Beth.
