Approximately halfway between Portsmouth and Chichester you will find New Life Church, Emsworth. They're a thriving community fellowship who last year released this exceptionally good album of live worship. What makes it so strong is that New Life are blessed with not one but two worship units, Kingdom Culture and RiverDeep, the latter being a band who once toured, recorded and got their share of playlist exposure on Cross Rhythms radio. They've clearly found an excellent spiritual home and with an eclectic set of musical styles which takes in everything from pop to R&B to rock and a great female singer they bring passion and no little expertise to original songs like "I Will Surrender All" and "Grace Without Walls". Kingdom Culture are almost as good and their "My Everything" and "Have My Heart" are other standouts. There is some top rate guitar playing throughout and I particularly enjoyed the snatches of cello on a couple of the slower songs. An album deserving of wide distribution.
