Essentially the vision of Kurt Kirton with a supporting cast, this is American dance music with a distinctly Euro influence. When it works, it works very very well. For example, the title cut is an excellent slab of dance pop and you get a very generous four remixes of the track, all of which work though if you're listening to the album casually it can seem a little repetitive! When it doesn't work, the album sounds a little bit lumpy and some of the production holes show through. Worst offender has to be the AC instrumental remix of "Break My Heart" which is simply a cheesy, bad idea. Highlights include "Abandon", the Piston Mix of "Child" and "Need Your Love", all of which are slabs of Euro-dance pop that will be clubby crowd pleasers. With so much great dance music coming out of the UK and Europe, Kurt Kirton has plenty of competition but if you're into dance music or you're a DJ, this is worth investigating.
