Pete leads worship at Huntingdonshire Community Church and was once a member of the band the Narrow Gate (ex-members of which help him out here). The opener "My Redeemer" is heavy on the blues rock sounds of old and has a rather odd arrangement, a tried and tested guitar riff, an over-repetitive vocal chorus and a climax where a diddly diddly guitar solo battles it out with soulful scatting from Carla Hayle. Much better is the smooth and tuneful "We Sing To You" and better still is a tumultuous build-and-build version of Bob Dylan's "Pressing On". There are more stylistic changes to follow, a moody, tempo-shifting "Face Of God" with some excellent electric guitar from Les Mear, the chap who wrote it. A wistful Mear composition "I Lift My Eyes" with a ricocheting drum loop, a poignant "My Only One" and a pleasant rendition of high profile worship leader Andy Bromley's "Your Name" (who also contributes some BVs to this project) are all good stuff too. But for me the outstanding cut along with that soulful Dylan makeover is the moody "'Bout You" which I reckon would sound great on the radio. All in all, a highly impressive debut despite its lack of stylistic focus.

this article is rather in the middle with its comments.
Having listened to the album i find it different yet refreshing from the 'norm'. knowing the artist helps to know where he is coming from. He has certainly grown in his music since i spoke/played with him about 8years ago.
He has an honest heart for God and it comes through on this album. I think it is a great 'moody' album.
