With the minimum of fuss this on-going series from Maranatha has turned into a seam of gold for those looking for praise material arranged and sung with at least a modicum of 90's pop sensibilities. The standout is the opening track, "Holy Is The Lord", a sister wails a righteous lead, the band cooks nicely and there's even a rock guitar break. Next up is the mock-Caribbean "Come Before The Lord", interesting but let down by a bland unison vocal. In fact considering the obvious quality of vocalists available to the producers, too often they settle for an MOR approach in the vocal arrangements. Shame.
