A six-song (four studio and two live "bonus" tracks) debut which shows this new dance group have plenty of potential but also plenty of rough edges to be worked on. Strengths are a pretty good vocalist in Lisa. Weaknesses are raps which teeter periously close to the anyone-can-rap-so-here-goes pitfall and programming which can't decide whether its going for the sparse driving rhythms of clubland or the hooky pop dance sounds. Some lowfi recordings doesn't help either. Better programming (particularly in the drum box department) could see Project Mayhem develop into something good. But this debut is little more than a cheaply made demo.
