Salt Inc Music are surely the most musically consistent of all America's independent labels, seemingly every release bringing something fresh and creative into the exceedingly crowded US CCM arena. Quiet City hail from Glenpool, Oklahoma (where?) and rather wonderful they are too. They concoct aural soundscapes which evoke hints of U2 and Peter Gabriel yet never resort to imitation while the wall of sound on the eery "Fly" or the radio friendly "Touch Tomorrow" are listening experiences that will draw a discerning rock buff back again and again. Lead singer Michael Reiser is distinctive while the lyrics, though a tad arty for instant accessibility, go way beyond simple evangelical sloganeering. If your tastes veer towards the more progressive vistas of rock these four guys will deliver the goods to your stereo.
