Richard is a singer/songwriter who in his native Australia has already achieved considerable popularity. Now in the middle of a low key UK tour this independent album from last year will no doubt be shifting off the trestle tables in appreciable quantities. It's rather good. Powerful pop rock with layered guitars and socking drums are on offer on the opener "Cross The Borders" but by track three, a tender-hearted song of spiritual submission "I Give In To You", it's more singer/songwriter style with acoustic guitar to the fore. A pretty impressive set of songs of faith crisply produced by Phil Blackbourn.
