Before I get into the pros and cons of this album, it should be said that I listened to this Christmas offering not in the bleak midwinter but rather, in the soaring temperatures of a late summer heat-wave.  Thus, my festive spirit may prove somewhat lacking. The collection of Christmas favourites is varied, but this album left me more than a little cold.  Sounding more like a shopping centre's attempt at cultural relevance, it may please the more 'easy-listening' contingent amongst us.  The piano is accomplished and interesting at points, yet equally trite and a touch 'saccharin' at others.  Personally speaking, however, the fearful term 'muzak' would probably best describe this Christmas collection.
