Punk-five piece Rogue Anthem were based in Orange County, California. They were founded by Myke Augustat (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) with the aim of "fighting materialism, false pride, greed, gluttony, apathy, selfishness, addiction and vanity." Myke passed away in 2012 and this three-track EP, recorded that year as part of 'What To Believe' recording sessions, will raise funds for his family. The first two tracks, "False Reality" and "The Calling", were finished songs, remastered for this release. The third, "Another City Falling", only existed as vocals, some guitar and drums. Extra vocals and instruments were added later. Those familiar with the band will recognise the raw punk feel to the songs, similar to early Clash, with driving guitar, fast drumming and vocals with a distinct rasp. The third track, however, presents a different vocal style, rough, experimental and gentler in approach. The recording, despite the later additions, still contains studio conversation at each end and sounds unfinished especially with the vocals. However, the message and the legacy remain.
