If you don't know your Christian metal history Saint were pioneers of the genre back in the early and mid '80s pounding out what HM Magazine called "Skin-blistering hard music in the heyday of Christian metal". Back then the band's sound was most often likened to that of Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, with shades of Black Sabbath. After a lengthy stay away the band returned and still feature the same classic sound of old. Josh Kramer has a distinctive voice all of his own, while lyrically their songs are powerfully apocalyptic with the title track representing the Anti-Christ and "New World Order" being a particular standout. The album has a dense almost dark feel to it but is broken up by the almost commercial "Crying In The Night" and "You And Me". Saint have a good fan base and may pick up new fans with this new release of timeless metal riffs and no compromise lyrics.
