This chap was music director for last year's highly successful Manchester Commonwealth Games and the Real Christmas event at Maine Road, so there's no doubting his pedigree. I'll nail my colours to the mast from the off and say that this type of music isn't really my cup of Horlicks, but if you like orchestral arrangements and pleasant - if unremarkable - readings of the likes of Eric Clapton's "Tears In Heaven", Elton John's "Can You Feel The Love Tonight?" and Chris Rea's "Tell Me There's A Heaven", then you could do a lot worse than check this out. My only question would be what this album is aiming to achieve, and who it's aimed at, but apart from that, perfectly pleasant.
