Every once in a while a reviewer gets an album that is a pleasure to listen to. And this is definitely one of those times. Solomon's Wish are a solid, melodic rock band who know what good songwriting is all about. The first track on 'A Wise Man's Tragedy', "Stop Sign" sounds rather familiar to me. I have the distinct feeling that I've heard it before on a Tesla album, but with this being a pre-release copy, there are no writing credits, only for production. On that score, this album is tight and sharp with a good mix - no instruments are weak in comparison to others. Song highlights include "Learning To Fly", "Stop Sign", "The Wish" and - as they say on all the worst adverts - much, much more. In fact, there isn't a single track that I don't like. Check out the Pamplin Music website for more information at the above address. Great stuff.
