This is a pretty good five track EP from a Midlands-based singer/songwriter. From the opening track "When I Think Of You" it is clear that these are nice love songs to Jesus. They are well delivered with crisp vocals albeit with traces of sentimentalism. I was a little concerned that one phrase "no more heartache and pain" seams a bit unrealistic but this was a minor criticism in the light of these well crafted lyrics. Steve Jones' lyrics abound in biblical metaphors expressed in contemporary language, although I would like to see some greater creativity. There are good encouraging worship songs here such as "You Are My Confidence" and "Close To Your Heart". They are all in the pop song tradition that is all the rage in our services today. Although nothing really stood out for me as a major hit like his classic "Hold Me In Your Arms" these are still well written and well delivered songs.
