Stu-Dent, together with a clutch of guests, help to knock out an unusual and creative album with a stark and gritty East Coast feel with flashes of old school bounce here and there. Strong cuts include the cruisetastic "Slashed Ashore", an R&B funked up smoothie with some thought provoking lyrics: "On the rocks of reality dreams break"! If "Somewhere" was a music video there would be a muscle car bouncing in a "parking lot" at some point in the track. You know the vibe I'm talkin' about, a classic shout out. "Daydadeigh" hits off on a soul seeking rapper's daily routine "in this here industry", a well crafted number. And finally, a distinctive, mysterious/brooding Camp Quest feel comes over the track "Equation" with its spacey synths and heavy bass line, very playable. A deep album with a number of tracks to ruminate and chew on.
