Having enjoyed the fine and often energetic music of the Booth Brothers on several other Gaither music videos and albums, I must admit that this album somewhat surprises and disappoints me, insofar that I feel their natural fine talent has been constricted by recording an album by "their boss"! There are some mighty fine songs here, such as the opener "Because He Lives", "God Gave The Song", "I Believe In A Hill Called Mount Calvary" and there is a pretty good version of Gaither's classic "He Touched Me". The Booth Brothers are great harmony singers, so what's the problem? To begin with these fine songs have been well recorded, but although they produced it, I feel the Booths have toned down their natural vibrancy and subsequently, although well executed, these tracks seem to me rather tame and unexciting compared to other recordings I have heard by the Booths.
