Continuing his DVD series of interviews/chats with many of Gaither's musical guests from his very popular Homecoming series, the spotlight turns on the Booth Brothers. One of the first things we learn is that there are only two real brothers in the group - lead singer Ronnie, and Michael who is also the team's spokesman. The Booths have been described as a "gospel version of the Gatlin Brothers". They are also well known for their fast paced and foot tapping catchy tunes such as the opener "The River Keeps A-Rollin'", which is a prelude to another 18 tracks here. They have a very popular song known as "The Blind Man", but in case it foxes you, it is actually "He Saw It All", which in this DVD gets a rousing rendition from a concert done in the round in Canada. "Castles In The Sand", "Testify" and a clever closing rendition of the wonderful Stuart Townend classic "In Christ Alone" are the standouts of an album of brilliant musical harmony. However, it's the penultimate track which for me was the most moving. To the backing of the popular "Through It All", the trio open their hearts to some searching questions from Bill Gaither and state that not all of their lives have always been a bed of roses (surely true of all of us), I found it revealing and honest from some very genuine Christian gentlemen.
