The Eden Prophecy is a project put together by two guitarists Damon Newman and Paul Howarth. ‘Eulabes’ is the Greek word meaning a reverential fear of God and unquestionably these two musicians have endeavoured to make a recording that glorifies the giver of their considerable talents. At times the richly textured soundscapes, full of unexpected complexities and tempo changes, do create an other-worldly atmosphere. But the crude recording and the tendency for one of the guitars to drift out of tune ruin the effect. Hard therefore to recommend despite such an exemplary desire to minister.
