The Indelible Project from Birmingham, Alabama on this 13 track album aim to inspire and equip churches and nations to begin memorizing the book of James. Here you find the five chapters sung virtually word for word from Scripture, each titled after the chapter and verses contained in the song. This works surprisingly well on most tracks, although it does not always fit the contemporary musical setting such as "James 2:1-7" which never really flows to make it an easy listen. There is also a lack of hooks generally in the songs for a listener to latch onto. However, Taylor McCall's voice is a joy to listen to and every effort has clearly been made to make the songs accessible to the casual listener, although sometimes musically individual tracks sound similar to each other. The Indelible Project have made 'James' available for free download on Noisetrade which will no doubt help bring this book of the Bible to a wider audience.
