These guys have a well developed understanding of "less is more", which works for their chosen blend of punk fuelled rock. Simple guitar riffs, basic chord structures, honest and down to earth lyrics and bare-bones drum beats. And the music is all the better for it. The letdowns are: a shaky sense of timing from the drummer (immediately noticeable at the start of the first track "Thief In The Night"); and some untidy finishes to a number of the songs (particularly "When I Let You Down" funnily enough)! Anyhow, being a bit punk, these add an almost endearing quality to the set. But the set is too long: not enough variety to carry interest for the full 51 minutes. On a positive note, the guitar work is good (though sounding a bit digital at times: get some valves dude), the songs are melodic and the vocals are well recorded and delivered. Definitely influenced by Joy Division and also sounding a bit like mid-life David Bowie. These are three young guys from Dudley whose hearts seem to be in the right place and are definitely worth checking out. But they will need to improve in several key areas to gain wider support.
