I'm not quite sure who buys Kingsway's 'The Songs Of.' series. Previous volumes have offered 25-song collections featuring the songs of Graham Kendrick, Noel Richards, Chris Bowater and Matt Redman, yet despite offering sheet music, guitar chords and acetate masters "all in a special 2 CD presentation pack" the fact remains that the recordings in the series are cheap and cheerful, recorded on some kind of strange praise and worship production line. Info is skimpy but I can tell you that some of the recording for this album was done in Ireland with Janet Rainey handling some of the vocals. All Oakley's best known songs from albums like 'When Deep Calls To Deep', 'Kiss The River' and 'Unashamed' are presented here though if you want the best versions invest in Oakley's Survivor albums.
