In contrast to the Mary Barrett album reviewed elsewhere this ish this offering from the guys and gals at Calvary Chapel is a corporate effort. Whilst the name may not be the most original ever bestowed on such an ensemble, eight of the 10 songs are in-house compositions, the other two being a Keith and Melody Green classic "Rushing Wind" and "Oh Righteous God" by our own Maldwyn Pope. The overall mood is gentle pop praise, although "Oh Righteous God" is given a seriously crunchy electric guitar solo by Jimmy Anderson, and "King Of All Creation" is almost reggae praise thanks to Malcolm Wild's sunshine-and-ice-cold-Lilt lead vocals and another axe attack by Jimmy Anderson. All the Calvary Chapel crew get involved in everything and the result is another anointed performance, well worth investigating if you're fed up with mushy peas praise.
