Let me start out by saying that this is a very well-produced item; chrome cassette, properly printed sleeve, with a colour photo – a nice, professional job.  Sadly, the quality of the song is decidedly iffy.  When I saw the old Christian standard “It Is No Secret” (a staple item in any Christian singer’s repertoire in the ‘60s), I feared the worst.  The other seven songs are seriously corny, including a kid’s chorus on the title track (at least they’re in tune pretty much of the time, unlike some I could mention), and the flavour smacks of the inspirational.  Mr Ditch has a good voice, a nice warm baritone, but he needs better material. Only if you’re a Southern-style gospel fanatic would you be able to sit through this collection of homespun corn.
