'Free For Good' may not be as polished as 'Audible Sigh' but excellent value nonetheless. The good olde boyz recorded these seven gems at David Pick's ffg studios in Gloucestershire (remember Eden Burning?} during a wee break from their 1998 tour of UK and Eire - just five days! It's really a high quality demo of the band's intense folk/rock ability and came about in response to label distribution problems and (tongue in cheek!) their need for dosh to pay the huge fish and chip bills they were accruing across the nation! A couple of tracks are here that appear on 'Audible Sigh' under a slightly different guise: "She Walks On Roses" - about the abuse that many women go through, and in "Cloth Of Life" -also called "Goes Without Saying", Bill sings about the commercialisation and ghettoization of Christian music. Do you like Bob Dylan or REM or maybe Bruce Springsteen? Then give this CD a try. I'm sure you'll want more! Pray these guys get a label deal soon! Enjoy! 8
