Jerome, Jason and Joe Paden from Lorain, Ohio are Vision and presumably, judging from the title, this is their debut album. Pretty good it is too with plenty of sinuous harmonies and effective switched leads, which work well on funky grooves like "All About IT (also featuring guest vocalist Shadonna) or lugubrious ballads like "Can't Live". My favourite is "Whatcha Gonna Do?" with, rather surprisingly, a little bit of a ragga feel to it and a great riff produced by a falsetto voice and a clumping drum box, while "What You Know About Jesus" also kicks up a storm with some preacher interjections from Michael Evans. Expect to hear more from this excellent new R&B gospel team in the future. They may have entered a crowded field but they clearly have the chops to make an impact.
