A strange one this.  Album opener "Jesus Alive" is not what one would consider a good song.  Wee Little Kelly's unusual vocal styling is a tad irritating with her voice halfway between a very shrill Kate Bush and a poor man's Julie Miller.  Similarly, there are problems with the songwriting.  For instance, "Lucky", where it seems she has really laboured to find words that rhyme.  However, about half way into the album, things begin to gel a little better.  On "Us The Same" the songwriting is much more mature and intelligent, her voice no longer grates and she begins to sound like an accomplished singer/songwriter.  Album closer "The Little Things!" is, gulp, very good indeed.  It really sounds like two different albums . one struggling to find its feet, the other deep, clever and intricate.  Wee Little Kelly is a wee little conundrum.
