This 1993 release was recently brought to these shores by Alliance Music as part of their Budget Classics promotion. It takes popular songs from the last 20 years or so and puts them in a live context with slightly updated arrangements and an Integrity-style worship leader. The price sticker of £5.99 on the CD case (£4.99 for cassettes) looked promising until I turned it over to find that each album contains only eight tracks and lasts some 20 to 25 minutes in all! Hardly a bargain. Personally I found the brevity of 'This Is The Day' one of its strongest features. Subtitled 'Songs Of Joyful Exuberance' it turned out to be a bland cabaret style arrangement of well known choruses.
