Wife of star Michael W Smith in hard hitting article

DEBBY SMITH, wife of CCM star Michael W Smith, wrote a hard-hitting editorial about the nationally televised Grammy Awards recently for American trade magazine CCM Update. Writing about the contradictions between Alanis Morisette singing about oral sex and using the F-word, with the audience applauding each profanity, and CeCe Winans singing "I Surrender All" and witnessing openly in her acceptance speech for the 'Best Contemporary Soul Gospel Album' Grammy about her faith in Jesus, Debby wrote, "I'm left with the sobering thought that if music is a reflection of the soul of a nation, many of our young listeners are in big trouble. But I'm also left with a great hope that God is able to turn up the volume of Christian music loudly enough to change the world."
