LA's Silent Planet sing about Native American injustice on new album

LOS ANGELES-based metalcore band Silent Planet had their album 'The Night God Slept' released through Solid State on 10th November. In the past few years the band have completed several national tours alongside such notables as Sleeping Giant, Impending Doom, Fit For A King, Gideon and Phinehas. A video for the song "Native Blood" has been posted. Speaking about "Native Blood" vocalist Garrett Russell said, "The song deals with America's expansionist persecution of Native American people. This is all told through the lens of a young girl who watches her peoples' way of life be taken from them in the name of 'God'." CR
