Rock band Petra looses members and is now a trio

VETERAN Christian rock band Petra whose new worship orientated album 'Revival', produced by Jason Halbert and Dwayne Larring, is already making a big impact in the Christian music market, spoke about their decision to trim down to a trio. Said lead vocalist John Schlitt, "We actually have three other members that perform with us live - one of them just changed recently. I think the record company said basically, listen, we want to deal with Petra. Not the new kids Petra, but the Petra that's been around for 30 years. And that is represented by Bob Hartman, Louie Weaver and John Schlitt.' We had been working with two other guys in the band, who will be mentioned in the album liner notes, and have been with us off and on for two years. And the new guy coming in, our bass player, absolutely has a great heart for what we're doing; I know he's going to be a great contribution to our live shows."
