Petra release 19th studio album, 'Revival'

CHRISTIAN rock pioneers Petra return with a new album, 'Revival', produced by ex-members of Sonicflood Jason Halbert and Dwayne Larring. Following in the footsteps of their two gold-selling 'Petra Praise1 albums, 'Revival' is a worship project released by Inpop in the States on 20th November. This will be the band's 19th studio album in a career which has spanned over three decades. Petra will be undertaking a major American tour to promote the project and playing with the band will be original founder member Bob Hartman.

Inpop Records have filmed interviews with industry figures talking about Petra's influence on CCM. Among those interviewed were the Newsboys' Peter Furler, Audio Adrenaline's Bob Herdman, Rick Cua and Sparrow and Myrrh founder Billy Ray Hearn.

Said Halbert about 'Revival1, "When we were in the initial talking stages of forming Sonicflood I brought in the two 'Petra Praise1 projects and all the Bible study materials as examples of where we wanted to go. As a worship leader at the time, they were important tools to bringing praise and worship to the youth of our group. In approaching this project, Dwayne and I were excited to be a part of something that Petra started over 10 years ago - impacting youth with great modern worship."
