Original Prayer

O god i come before your presence. please extend to me your infinite grace and mercy. i need help o god. i hve been fighting this for several years now. every time i start to defeat it, i come crashing down. i cant do this alone. i try to tell myslef that i can. there is no else that can help me. please forgive me of my sins and heal me. give me the strength to fight this sin. i hte myself after i fall, but i cant stop. i go for a little bit, but then i fall again. please help me. i know this is only hurting me and my future. please help me to stop. amen ...pliz pray for me

precious one, for i know that you are already a victor by desiring to stop. it's only godly fellows who are prompted by the Holy Spirit on our mistakes. You love God and you cannot harbour sins. please do well to forget about what happened yesterday and begin a new day with the Lord. pray often, hate evil pictures, please renew your thinking and overcome evil with Good. please read Romans 12. Hi Jv firstly can I point you to an excellent article Heather wrote on addictions: Secondly understand the nature of addictions, they are often called habits by drug users, what is a habit?? A habit is something we do regularly and without thinking, biting nails, etc. I would sugest as well as prayer you look at the 'habits' that draw you to masterbation and porn.... I am speculating but suspecting it is computer/internet based as so much is these days, when I read statistics that 1 in 4 american male adults have accessed internet porn, it is a scary statistic, my friend I would urge you to look at the 'habit' when do you access it?, is there a trigger? Do you have it stored on your computer? For some people I would sugest formating your hard drive and losing not only images but links to websites, this might be trivial in one way but I see it like an offering, giving something up, getting rid of, cleansing, something else might be to make sure you computer is not in a secluded place, sometimes the breaking of habits means creating new habits, positive ones, I would sugest making prayer and worship a habit, when I am feeling distant from God a sig along to worship and I pray myself into the presence of God, as much as prayer is ultimately the answer in these problems and one needs to seek our Lord's intervention in breaking these addictions I belive this needs to involve action on our part. Lord Jesus I lift this brother to you and plead for your intervention in his life, in the precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour we rebuke the hold pornography and masterbation has over this brothers life, release him in your name Jesus that he might be finally free and cleased of these addictions, send you Holy spirit to convict this brother should he be tempted again and keep doing this Lord until the grip of this has no hold over his life, pour out your holy spirit upon his, fill him and let him know an awesome measure of your presence in his life, I ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ Amen
