"I can't stop singing about your love," Andy Allen sings like he means it. For the past eight years Allen has been a worship leader at Spirit West Coast, one of the largest Christian music festivals in the USA and this album, Allen's third, sees Californian-based Allen and the band's arrangements of seven familiar songs from contemporary worship plus three original contributions. Songs such as Matt Redman's "Better Is One Day" and Darlene Zschech's "Shout To The Lord" receive a breath of new life with a personal touch to each arrangement. The Rich Mullins penned "Step By Step" is barely recognisable from the original such is the originality of Allen's arrangement. Musically though, the album too often sounds a little dated in a late '80's early '90's boy band kind of way. The original material sees Allen writing sincere lyrics to some pretty funky tunes that got me dancing and singing. Overall, a pretty good but hardly groundbreaking worship set.
