Long-in-tooth Cross Rhythms listeners might remember the Catch The Fire albums which sprang out of the Toronto Airport Vineyard (later renamed Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship) between 1995 and 2004 and which were tied up with the revival which the UK's tabloid newspapers insisted on calling the Toronto Blessing. This album demonstrates that 25 years on that church, under its current name Catch The Fire Toronto, continues to be a key source of abandoned, Holy Spirit empowered worship. Although there are some well-written songs here from the likes of Martin Smith and Israel Houghton, it is the spontaneous numbers like the opener "Who The Son Sets Free" featuring Chris and Summer Shealy; "You Are Good" with Steve Tebb; and "Affection Devotion" featuring Jonathan Clarke which stirred my spirit most powerfully. Raw and authentic, this is not an album for those who like their worship music to come polished with a high production sheen. But for those with the ears to hear and the spirits to embrace, this is a powerful reminder of what God has done in the past and what God is continuing to do today.
