Take a collective from various churches meeting at fellowships across Phoenix, Arizona, put them with a multi Grammy-winning producer in his state of the art studio, and this is what you get. 14 different worship leaders were involved in the writing of these songs and some pretty good ones there are, too. "You Move" is an electric track that you can imagine will really lift the place with hundreds of dancing worshippers while "For Your Glory" would sound amazing if it ever gets sung in a stadium full of on-fire believers. The title track is lyrically my favourite on the album with its assurance that Jesus is making all things new. "Refuge" has a more melodic, Celtic feel to it. In the crowded modern worship field, 'Hope Rising' may struggle to find national, let alone international, popularity, but there's no doubting that there are songs and performances here which will take some into the heart of worship.
