A rip-roarin' set of typical gospel from one of the top choirs. Recorded live in 1997, and featuring ( to give him his full title ) Joseph Pace II, another of the new breed of choir directors who are picking up the torches laid down by the legendary departed such as Milton Brunson, James Cleveland, Thomas Whitfield and O'Landa Draper. If this album is anything to go by, US gospel is safe in their hands. Several guests enliven proceedings (not that they aren't lively enough to begin with), among them Veronica Petrucci of Angelo and Veronica fame, who proves that she can hoot and holler just like the old-timers. The choir maintains impeccable ensemble (in other words, they're all together), the backing band cooks nicely, the audience/congregation is duly appreciative, and the result is a very good 65 minutes-worth. In fact the album title is totally appropriate.
