43 year old Dave has a pretty awesome testimony, after several years singing pop-gospel he was struck down by a rare condiĀtion that left him almost completely paralysed. Following the prayers of family and friends the illness reversed. The song "Solid Ground" is based on Dave's experiences during this time. It's a crisply arranged piece of pop gospel with Dave's voice perfectly suited to the staccato phrasing. Elsewhere his voice meanders slightly (on "Ready" he sounds distinctly tremulous) but all in all this is a goodish set of pop gospel songs produced by that old reliable Bob Cranham. The old time cornball "Never Will See Him" is particular fun. Support this grassroots minister of the gospel.
