Back in 1992 I was in Scotland and was very impressed by a Motherwell band called December and particularly their lead singer Aileen ‘Ailsy’ Pattison. So you can imagine my surprise when a decade later these guys re-emerge with a new album, a new line up but with the divine Ms Pattison still there at the vocal mic. December’s sound is very much Lone Justice with the passionate, keening voice of Ailsy bringing Maria McKee-like fire and passion over the ringing guitars. Sound quality on this four song EP is a bit muffled (particularly the drums) but this is still a welcome return by a talented band.
