For an artist to credit such luminaries as BeBe Winans, Patti Labelle, Gladys Night, Chaka Khan, and...erm....Stevie Wonder, via celebs Oprah, Chis Tucker and Jesse Jackson, you have to wonder. Egomaniac namedroppers better deliver or forever stand in the shadows of true talent and achievement. Well, Donnie lurks in the background here, accompanied by a swathe of average MOR gospel material which fails to inspire big time. The vocals and production from a large cast, despite being strong, simply lose out to desperately inferior songwriting. Oh for a "Midnight Train To Georgia", "Superstition" or "Lady Marmalade", something to stir the soul. This offering couldn't stir a calorie-free cuppasoup. Donnie is also pastor of the grandly titled Perfecting Faith Church. The mind boggles... my small church is in the mustard seed category. Only in America, eh?

Product Description
Over a million record buyers can't be wrong; Donnie McClurkin is currently one of the hottest properties in gospel music, and this new album can only build on that reputation. Like Donnie's last smash hit album, 'Again' was mostly recorded live, this time at the West Angeles COGIC; whose mass choir lend vocal support. Kevin Bond produces, with Percy Bady taking over for two tracks. Amongst the album's many highlights are his duets with two of gospel's leading ladies: 'The Prayer' featuring Yolanda Adams, and 'Special Gift' with Lynette Hawkins-Stephens.

I love the Again CD, I also have the DVD in concert. It truly blesses my heart. I love the song Again, Holy, my favorite is Special Gift. I just love the entire CD. It truly comfort and relax me at work. I close my eyes and meditate and just praise My Savior at work.

I disagree and I believe this is a master piece. If you are into all the hype of the celebration worship services waving across america then you can't appreciate the quiet reverence in the songs written. In order to appreciate AGAIN you have to be able to sit in a room alone with GOD staring you in the eyes and you don't feel the need to run!
