This is a repackage of the two albums the man in black cut for Mercury after he was scandalously dropped by Columbia Records. From 1987 we have 'Johnny Cash Is Coming To Town' and from the following year 'Water From The Wells Of Home'. The first album opens with the Elvis Costello-penned "The Big Light" and includes the single "The Night Hank Williams Came To Town". The second half of the package, the 'Water' album, has Hank Williams Jr appearing on the song "That Old Wheel", a Top 20 Country Chart hit. This was a duets album. Emmylou Harris and Glen Campbell are perhaps the sort of guests you would expect on such a project, although maybe Paul McCartney who duets on "New Moon Over Jamaica" is less so. Throughout the CD it's unmistakable Cash. Two albums in one - a great way to add some country style to anyone's collection.
