In the liner notes, Juliet Lloyd says, “The trick is to try to catch a glimpse of his view of things. These songs are my response to just some of the scenes I’ve found caught in the web of life.” From song to song, ‘Web Of Life’ tries to capture that tapestry of life by painting individual pictures of times, places and events. “No Different From Me” is all about how we all appear to be in the same boat until we stand before God, who will sort out the ones who are indeed different in the heart. ‘Web Of Life’, taken from an anonymous poem, is a beautiful picture of “the weaver” and his carefully planned pattern. Musically the programmed backings with synthesised bass, drum patterns and keyboards sound dated and though Juliet is a good storytelling songwriter her voice painfully grates throughout the album and seems mismatched with the poppy production.
