Have you ever got a CD, liked a song or two, and then been unable to get hold of a copy of the music, or resented paying another 15 quid for the songbook? No such problems here - Scripture Union have all bases covered, 14 songs on CD one, plus a second CD with backing tracks, sheet music and lyrics for OHPs/digital projectors or songsheets, and the whole bundle is intended to link into SU's Light learning resources for five to eights and eight to 11 year-olds. Great concept, but what of the content? It's a bit variable really. Opening with the dance beats of the title cut, it swiftly moves on through a variety of genres, including a rather embarrassing rap number "So Cool", the rather twee recorder-backed "I Try To Do What's Good", Joseph-themed holiday club tune "Pyramid Rock", the rock guitar-driven "All The Time!" and the folky "Thing About You". The vocal performances aren't always spot on, but they're adequate for getting to know the songs before trying them for yourselves, either with your own musicians, or using the backing tracks. Well thought-out then as a complete package, but it could have done with a little more effort on the production side.

Readership: under 11s.

Light recognises that children can know and respond to God and does not expect too little or too much from them. Light values exploration and discovery, fun, feelings and creativity and uses these approaches to inspire children, young people and adults to meet God through the Bible and prayer.
