Mark is a worship leader at Ichthus Christian Fellowship in London and as such has benefited from a host of experienced teachers, including the Singing Beard himself. This six-track set is definitely out of the "edgy rock worship" stable but manages to stay on the right side of formula, which is no mean feat these days. "Father I Seek" goes in some nice directions, "You Are My Provider" hints at a jazzy Travis sound, "I Have Come To Love You" is helped by some tasty studio treatment, and the set rounds off with the very catchy "New Song" with nifty piano solo and cool '70s clavinet, which I could almost see GK himself singing (nice ending too!). These songs are already in use at Mark's fellowship, and judging by this collection, the name of Mark Harris is one to watch.
