In a sleevenote Mark gives an intriguing testimony about his teenage years chasing after the rainbows of pop success. Years later here’s the worship leader doing the music thing for God’s glory. And when 'For His Glory' comes together musically, like on the wistful, mid tempo “In Your Quietness” and the haunting “Close To You”, the effect is very pleasant. Unfortunately, on other tracks Mark is let down by clich├ęd lyrics and cheap sounding programming. The anointing and the talent (both compositionally and vocally) is there. What Mark needs is a decent recording budget and a producer to sort out the gems from the mediocrity.
