It has been an amazing journey for the American singer/songwriter over the last decade and well worth a celebratory 'Best Of' release. First appearing on the Christian contemporary music scene in 2000, Mark has gone from strength to strength and this set demonstrates his ability as an excellent songwriter and story-teller who is able to weave moving narratives into his songs with an emotionally uplifting musical backdrop. Mark is still fairly unknown in the UK so for those who have not come across him before these 17 tracks clearly demonstrate Mark's strengths. "Letters From War" is about a praying mother for her son who has gone to fight for freedom and justice and evokes all her conflicting emotions; "Running Just To Catch Myself" is a light hearted, upbeat song about the busy-ness of modern day living; while "Walking Her Home" is a captivating story song.
