This Paul T is Paul Tawonezvi, who hails from Zimbabwe and is not to be confused with the Singapore-based DJ Paul T. Mr Tawonezvi is now operating out of Tennessee and has made himself a jack of all trades in pursuit of his love of music. Lyricist, composer, musician, singer, producer, and publicist, there are few areas on this debut UK release that don't bear his mark. Paul's distinctive style is gentle, drawn-out, rhythmic anthems with aspects of soul fused with R&B licks. Think Don Moen with an African flavour. Sadly, jack of all trades predictably means he is master of none. The songwriting is capable, the singing fair, the arrangements somewhat spare, and the lyrics are full of Biblical truth but do not scan very well. His publicity push too would benefit from professional advice. His passion for God is evident but much work is needed to move above the merely competent.
