Pastor of music at Jesus House, London, R&B gospel man Philip Noel is an artist with "something to say" and in this his debut album he proclaims it simply through songs like "Jehovah Is Our King" and "The Bridegroom's Coming". These simple arrangements are catchy and easy on the ear. With reggae, blues, Latin and R&B influences the effect is relaxed and engaging. With a touch of reggae you can't help but move to "Jesus Is My Reference". Then relax to the mellow sounds of "Faithfulness". The desire of Philip Noel's heart is clearly to proclaim Jesus. This comes across as he leads the listener through these self-penned songs.
