A bit cheeky giving the artist credit to a whole denomination; its a bit like calling the All Souls Orchestra the Church Of England. Actually, this is the Hendon Citadel Band and Songsters and if you'd like an album of hymns, some glorious ("Crown Him With Many Crowns" and "Holy Holy Holy") and some naff (nameless) they're performed sweetly enough by the songsters while the brass band only comes in on some tracks. Now I'm going to use my editor's prerogative and do a bit of cheap market research. I'll give a copy of this cassette to the first person who writes to me and says he or she thinks they might genuinely like it. I'm just intrigued to know whether there are any lovers of brass bands/traditional hymns currently reading Cross Rhythms.

As a former officer, I am wondering if there is a way to listen to Salvation Army songs online?

Yes, I would certainly appreciate a c.d. from you! I adore brass bands , especially the Salvation Army bands. The Salvation Army is fantastic, I don't think many would disagree with this, and I would say to anyone who does, "join and find out for yourselves"

Hi Tony

PS I forgot to say I would really LOVE a copy of your cassette you are offering - to share with friends in my local evangelical church! Kind regards Ann

Hi Tony - I'm sure your comments are made with "tongue in cheek" about not many people loving the sound of Salvation Army brass bands - even people who aren't Christians (I am!) and who never go to Church love to hear Carols played by the Sally Army in Town Centres - it all adds to the celebration and wonder of Christmas! Kind regards Ann

Hi Tony,
I do think you are a bit cheeky, and there are hundreds of thousands of people out there who would like a copy, and as many who love brass bands, young and old. If you were brought up in the Sallvation Army you would probably feel the same way.
NB The previous site I went on had sold out of their CD!
