Not the Catholic Upper Room Society but a nifty band fronted by Phil Goss whose solo effort Cross Rhythms reviewed a little time back. In fact, there's one song, "Talk About Love", that appeared on this, but this new version is live and even more lugubriously laid back than its predecessor. Phil is an individualistic vocalist, the band's arrangements are excellent and the whole thing has a punchy pop-rock feel. I particularly liked the harmonica solo on "Pain And The Pleasure" while the lyrics are above average. Phil and his buddies are pretty good.
