To package a short career into a 'Best Of...' double CD is questionable. Why not just put the three projects together in a re-release low price box set? However, the music stands up here as it brings together her previous CDs, the mini-album 'Shelter' (2002) and the albums 'Yesterday, Today & Forever' (2006) and 'Painting The Invisible' (2007) and shows how she has developed into a significant worship songwriter and lead worshipper for this generation, overseeing worship in both the UK and USA. Vicky interestingly says, "Worship leaders are the theologians of our day. Kids aren't reading Tozer, Lewis or the Church Fathers. They are getting out their iPods and listening to music. Lyrics have to convey the theology of who God is." 'Extravagant Worship' contains Vicky's distinctive combination of memorable melodies and thought-provoking insight with piano-driven pop rock arrangements and musical hooks. The songs are powerful, living with one eye fixed on eternity and the other on poverty and injustice. If the first you've heard of Vicky is her latest release 'Eternity Invades' than these oldies are well worth investigating.

Extravagant Worship contains Vicky’s trademark combination of melodies and thought-provoking insight with beautiful piano arrangements and musical hooks. “My number one goal is to help people connect with God…there are powerful guitar moments and moving intensity in the music, but all that is secondary to the aim of leading people into His presence. These are songs for the Church, written from a worship leader’s heart”.
The songs are powerful, living with one eye fixed on eternity and the other on poverty and injustice. Extravagant Worship includes a fantastic collection of songs.
